Laurie Ahern, MDRI Chief Operating Officer

Erin Jehn, Attorney

Erin Jehn is a staff attorney at Mental Disability Rights International (MDRI). She investigates human rights violations of persons with disabilities, researches international and domestic law, and writes reports on the status of persons with disabilities in countries around the world. Ms. Jehn graduated from Vermont Law School in 2009, where she focused on juvenile law, disability law, and international human rights law. She received a B.A. in French from the University of Idaho in 2006 and spent a year studying in France.

Ms. Jehn grew up with a little sister who has both autism and cerebral palsy, and she attributes her commitment and passion for disability rights to her little sister. Since high school, Ms. Jehn has volunteered at local elementary schools as a tutor and a mentor for children with disabilities and at-risk children. She also spent part of a summer volunteering at an orphanage in Vietnam. Ms. Jehn loves that she is able to combine her passion for working with people with disabilities, her international experience, and her legal expertise at MDRI
