Internships

Qualifications:

  • Law student, law degree or LLM preferred.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the inter-American human rights system helpful and international human rights law principles.
  • Excellent command of Spanish essential. Knowledge of Portuguese valuable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Administrative and office experience helpful.
  • Interest in disability rights, mental health, and human rights.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Commitment:

Senior Development Associate

MDRI seeks a Senior Development Associateto manage and implement MDRI’s fundraising strategies and assist the directors in reaching the organization’s overall fundraising goals. The Senior Development Associate will:

    • develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan;
    • draft grant proposals, donor appeals, and reports;
    • research and maintain data base of donors/foundations;
    • research and facilitate new donor relationships;
    • plan special events;
    • actively engage the MDRI board in fundraising and work with the MDRI board fundraising committee.
